Okay this proves just how much notice I take of the Mickey Mouse Challenge but now season proper is within smelling distance, I happened upon this and wondered what the heck it was all about...
It's not worded very well but I gather a player can still stand on the mark, just no other opposition player can run within a 10mm radius....?
Sandi and Fyfe could have a field day with this one!
They invariably has at least 3 players hanging off them.

The 10 mt will be as variable as the 50 mt, 15 mt and the 30 seconds for a shot on goal, and the "how long is holding the ball" measures. Very subjective, depending on who is going to benefit. Just another elephant in the corner of the room.

I don't think this is the case. The protected area was never behind the man on the mark, only 5m either side of a line between the mark and the kicker and 5m behind the kicker. So an opposition player could stand right behind the mark and shepherd the man on the mark if the kicker plays on.

I think this is still the case, but the protected area is 10m either side.

It is a 10m radius for the semicircle behind the kicker. In front of the kicker it is a rectangle 20m wide (10m either side of a line between the kicker and the mark).

The radius starts from the mark, goes 10m either side and behind the mark, but not in front...
