Is there actually a rule (rather than just a Wayne Campbell thought bubble) that says you only get 30 seconds to shoot for goal when you're launching from within 50 metres? It seems to me plenty of set shots from outside 50 - I'm thinking of quite a few of Pav's as examples - are given the same allowance by the umps, as they should be.
Also, just out of curiosity, once you are "given" the 30 seconds, are you then required to shoot for goal no matter what? If, say, you spot a bloke 20 out dead in front on his own, can you pass it to him?
