These games are an absolute joke. As much as you'd like to see your team win, you're no wiser as to how they'll fair, round 1. Except that should you not have you're best 22 unavailable due to suspension or injury during these practice games, it sets you up for a fall. Teams have different agendas during the NAB cup games. So the results are insignificant. Start the season earlier. There's a further 3 rounds we can add to the season proper and perhaps give the competition a little more fairness.

I reckon Fyfe grabbed his back coz of a sly punch to the kidneys during the mark. Brereton's comment that Pav was an AA as a full back after spending 5 minutes in the back pocket for a couple of games really pi$$ed me off. Pav was a premier backman in the comp for a few years, before he became an elite midfielder, then elite forward. The Freo-mentia suffered by Ch eagle commentary teams will continue this year.

I would like to point out that the Hawks, who are apparently the bench mark, in two games have scored a total of 86 points, and received a flogging by 71 points from Richmond. Are they now rated to fall of the edge of the world? Like Ross said at the start of the game yesterday, the NAB Challenge is more about focussing on working out structures and trying new things in a game situation. It means jack. Perspective is the name of the game here folks.
