wants to liven up the pre season cup by offering the winner a wildcard entry into the finals - link.

What a champion. Truth is he wanted to suggest this whilst the Pies were on top but didn't want to come across as a patronizing tosser.

In the absence of anything else to talk about - are there any other ideas out there about how to increase interest.

The season is tainted enough without Eddie adding his own personal garbage.
I'm disinterested in the 2016 season at the moment. I hope round 1 can bring a bit of shine back into footy.
3 years of essendon doping saga , Hird's overseas sabbatical and now the awfl allowing the top up is sufficient enough of a fiasco for my liking.

By and large this suggestion has not garnered a lot of support but there is a rumor that there is a guy somewhere in western Queensland who thought this was a good idea, initially at least. Bundy OP can cause wild flights of fancy which might solve half the riddle but that still doesn't explain Eddie.

Eddie, I've got a better idea for you. If a club wins the pre-season cup, and makes the top 8, then they can play finals. Even if they don't win the pre-season cup. You can't be fairer than that.
