That was Hawthorn's mantra right up until they recruited Brad Hill. But hey, he's a dual premiership player and his brother is wondering what he'd done to deserve his non medal. Do you think that Ross might have said enough is enough when, in the prelim last year, a kick to Sheriden from 20m failed to connect only to see Rioli pounced and drill a goal that broke our spirit. Well Ross, you're 3 years too late if you hadn't noticed that our players aren't great kicks.

The extra emphasis last year was on running. This year it's kicking. There's only so many things you can learn at one time. I saw them do lots of running last year, so they should be good enough at that by now.

And Rioli's goal wasn't drilled.
It was heading for the points, took a large deviation to the left when it bounced (I know footballs do that sometimes) and snuck through for a goal.

Pretty sure they did put a focus on improving kicking skills last year. The were leading disposal efficiency for half the season anyways, so maybe this year that extra training will account for the back half of the year as well.

Its the coxy flappy arm movement that takes years to perfect.Theres a special kung fu school in the hills of the place that can not be mentioned that teaches the subtle flap of the winge whine crane.

As for kick-king,yea i dont see it catching on,its some weird fad that will pass....

Here's the incident that broke our GF dreams in 2015. So Mzungu's kick, dare I say it was a shocker. The Gu, was never a great kick. Sheridan dropping the mark, with Rioli's perceived pressure was the result. If that kick was better, from 20m, it could have been a different ending.
