RR, Ethan Hughes looked like a stronger option In defence instead of Sutcliffe. Id like to see him get a game.

I reckon Bennell and Collins will be the main changes to the starting 22 from last season if all are fit and firing. Mayne needs to kick goals from game 1 or he will get the chop for Yarran. This is born out by the fact it is no coincidence we have recruited an aggressive goal kicking machine in Yarran. Apes wont be ready till the mid season and Fyfe has been earmarked to play forward till his leg is 100 percent. Massive pressure for spots in the starting 22 should see some exciting high standard football from the FFC.

I too am optimistic about our chances in 2016.
However I've been optimistic from day 1 but so far no glory.
Great team, great pick-ups from the drafts and the potential as always is enormous.
I still need an injury free year for all and a good rub-of-the-green from the umps.
I also need the planets to align because I've become superstitious about the Awfl's way of tampering with the rules, the MRP and whatever they can get their hands on.
All's good but I'm still worried.

I think that through sheer lasiness the AFL site have the closest to our round 1 team, which is only one change from our prelim losing side, that is DeBoer out, Bennell in.

B: Lee Spurr, Zac Dawson, Michael Johnson
HB: Stephen Hill, Garrick Ibbotson, Cam Sutcliffe
C: Harley Bennell, Nat Fyfe, Danyle Pearce
HF: Chris Mayne, Matt Taberner, Michael Walters
F: Hayden Ballantyne, Matthew Pavlich, Jon Griffin
Foll: Aaron Sandilands, David Mundy, Lachie Neale
I/C: Tendai Mzungu, Tommy Sheridan, Michael Barlow, Nick Suban

what is of real interest to me is the depth list, you'd think looking at this that one if not both our new tall defenders will be groomed as forwards, for no other reason than they cannot all play key backmen for Peel at the same time.

"DEPTH
Key-position defenders: Sam Collins, Alex Pearce, Alex Silvagni, Tanner Smith, Matthew Uebergang*
........
Key-position forwards: Michael Apeness"
