Wylie- Buzza is a must get for our club, the name says it all someone mentioned he is a bullocking monster of a man and that just seals the deal. Jesse Glass - McCasker from the black ducks might be well worth a look also. This draft may not be as shallow as first predicted.

Rioli? What would we do with a bloke that takes marks and kicks goals inside the 50?? What are you blokes thinking, he'll never fit in with our game plan!

Phantom Draft (22/11)
Cal Twomey at AFL.com has got Rioli at 14 going to Richmond. Our first pick is effectively pick 26 and he has us still taking Tom Cole if he's still there. Kieren Collins he has going to Hawthorn (replace Lake) much earlier. He has as possibles at 26 Himmelberg (if not challenged by GWS) or Bonner if the Bonner slips through from 25 (Adelaide). He also thinks we'll probably get/take Mitch Brown later in the draft.

Btw Twomey does mention Glass-McCasker as a player to be targeted by the Dockers. Is Glass a good name for a tall defender?!

After reading a lot of the draft talk online and in the media I'm now satisfied that there will be a range of tall options available to us when our pick comes around. My only worry is that Bondy & co may blink under pressure and go for a midfielder or midget forward when the time comes. I know there is an attraction if say Rioli were available but we do have plenty of that type plus we're committed to selecting Ethan Hughes with one of our picks. The player we pick up may not be as gifted as the midfielders at our pick but it should not be forgotten that some big lugs have played key roles in recent premierships. eg Brian Lake, David Hale, Leigh Brown and Quentin Lynch come to mind. By the way I'm warming to Wylie Buzza, Marcus Adams, Ryan Burton and the South Australian recommended by Leigh Brown. His name's Christian Buykx-Smith and the comparisons with Dustin Fletcher would make him a handy pick up. Also Tom Keough from South Australia a 23yo, 194cm backman who towelled up Shane Yarran in a recent state game

Glass would be full of high spirits if he was drafted.

He'd want to go early in the night or he might start getting a bit flat.

As we (and almost everyone else) found out with the 2007 draft, you either draft a Rioli or you bloody-well move to Utah (to use a popular phrase) - a Rioli isn't simply a 'type', they're the difference between getting the Big One and not getting one.

Yeah Rioli would be a great get if we went for a small bloke but the chances of him being around at our first pick are zero.

Fox Footy Phantom Draft has him going to West Coast immediately after our first pick so a slim chance he is still available.
They have us bidding for Himmelberg (with GWS matching) and us settling with Tom Cole.
In that scenario - It would be hard not to take Rioli - especially after his draft camp results.
Inerestingly they have us missing Mitch Brown by one selection at 51 but us taking Marcus Adams at 52 which I would be stoked about the second part...
Pick 40 is Jesse Glass-McCasker from Swans and despite me being a big swans watcher I dont know much about him. Would you take him or Brown at 40??

I will be spewing if we don't nominate himmelberg and make GWS burn some points on him or better yet they don't match it and he turns out better than Cam Mac

I'm just getting ready to try and follow the draft under this new format they're using.
