Just on another note as we wait for the draft to occur and i apologise in advance to Shane if he doesnt want people talking about cricket on his footy website but answer this for me.

If the sole intent of the DRS is to remove the "howler" out of test cricket then given what happenned today with Mcullum, fair to say its not working. I know how it works and i know they had exhausted their challenges.

But go back to its sole intent.

Just confirms that using the DRS is not a good idea. Even when it goes to the review mistakes are common, so it doesn't get rid of the "howler". You only need to look at what happens every week in the Super Rugby competition to see that it is a waste of time.

Like Rugby, AFL and....

actually, there are no other manly team sports so it's down to those three only.

All include as a part of their essential nature, the fallibility of human perception as regards the officiating. Howler's exist to make reasonable decisions look better.
