Anthony Morabito is one of the best blokes you would ever meet on a football field - and one of the best off the field, in any walk of life, anywhere. We have all shared his story, in a funny way (well, the story isn't funny really) we have all stood with him. If Mora quit football and opened a 'Kale Delights' vegan sushi shop we would all pop in, get a plate of food and have a chat with the bloke (no matter what we thought of the food). Now we're all going to be on the rookie list with him - fair enough, something to get ourselves out of. I don't like it, but I understand the decision - I think Anthony knows we'll all be there with him.

JJ was ok but John was a founding member of the Velvet Underground.

JJ sang about cocaine, John and Lou Reed probably put it on their corn flakes. It’s a miracle they survived the 60’s. The Underground were absolutely unique.

John also rescued ‘Hallelujah’. Leonard Cohen’s original version was crap. Cale took the song and pared down the 80 or so verses that Cohen had originally written and formed the song we now know as ‘Hallelujah’ in 1991. Jeff Buckley did a great version in 1994 and about 200 others have had a crack since.

Seems like all indications are that Mora's knee issues may be behind him. The only trouble is, I think it is a real possibility that another club may have intentions to swoop in and take a chance on him.

Now that he is delisted, I don't suppose there are any ways that Freo could ensure that they are the ones that draft him onto the rookie list?

That's exactly the point I was trying to make earlier in the thread Jooter. I think it's a dangerous game we're playing with Mora and in what's been touted as a thin draft I think the Slime or another club may take him with a late pick, unless he doesn't nominate for the draft, but then can we still pick him up in the rookie draft?

The fact that he has had 3 knee recos and didn't play the whole of last year due to complications with the last reco would deter most, if not all, other clubs from drafting him, IMO...
