There was never a Anthony Rocca Scare - Anthony Rock has been appointed.
He is a former AFL assistant with Ross at St Kilda and been out on his own doing good things for a few years.
All 3 seems to be players that got the most out of themselves so you would hope be good coaches for us straight away.

Hale and Guerra completely lack any real coaching experience but because they've been at Hawthorn recently that seems to get them over the line. Rock has been out of the game for a long while but because we couldn't find anyone else, RL gave his old mate a call to basically be a yes man to RL's current tactics/strategies.

I don't see our game plan improving much with this lot.

I'm not sure I understand the pessimism with respect to Hale. When I've seen him play, it's as that ruck-resting-forward role; I've seen him do damage to us and to other teams, so perhaps the thinking was how to coach the big guys we have in this area.

Amazing how credibility can be established simply by getting your teammates to sing a Daryl Braithwaite song in the change rooms.

But why would you get a has-been, part-time ruckman/part-time forward to come in and coach the best ruckman the AwFL has ever seen? I would think The Big Fella could teach Hale way more than he would ever get in return. But maybe that's just me - maybe this is a grand conceptual counter-cultural art performance (and I've missed the point, or something).

Shane, Josh Simpson is building up a coaching resume at Mullewa in the Great Northern Football League.

He player-coached them to a home semi final against traditional rivals Railways. A 9.17 return cruelled their season at the Top Iron Oval.

How's his return to Ye Olde Sharks going?
