Short of winning the premiership next season, I don't see how this trade is in any way a win for Freo, especially given a weak draft this season and needing those picks next year for trading.

Short of making the Grand Final next season our rd 2 draft pick next season will be higher than 35 (although there may be priority selections) so it just doesn't make much sense. Trading future picks for a late pick in a weak draft this season seems like madness.

Pick #35 in the 2015 draft is equivalent to finishing 3rd (Edit, I wrongly had 4th) 2nd round pick.
Freo have a good chance ending up 3rd or better next year.
(if there are additional round 1 compensation picks, then 3rd can get worse than #35).

We need the picks more this year than next year due to;
- large number of delistings/retirements.
- premiership window ... in particular 211 (& Pav).
- already having traded away our 2nd Round pick and worsened our 1st Round pick with Bennell trade.

It's a good trade. A smart trade.
If you enjoy bagging Bond every opportunity, then you may find it a bad trade.
Gone to bigfooty where there's fewer Docker Haters.
