If 14 & 22 brings GWS to the table and we can secure McCarthy then this is a no brainer. The list of picks around this value includes plenty of likely midfielders, but very few KPP's. We don't need a forward in 3 years we need one now. We have enough midfielders to get us through the next 3 years. We are more likely to get a midfielder in the draft that can impact games immediately than KPP.
Still highly unlikely with the number of draft picks that GWS have been able to accumulate in the upcoming draft that, is apparantly the weakest in years.
I may be mistaken but the players that GWS seem willing to trade are mainly midfield types. Treloar to me is a high quality player, much better than Weller at this point in time and they will deal, but unwilling to entertain trading out a KPP even when we are banging down the door. Points to the value of big talented forwards.
There are a number around the league that clubs have sold the farm for that are not neccessarily working out eg Clarke, Tippet.
