Good news, he wants to keep playing, and is in top physical shape. Would love to see him out on the field again. Wish it was with us, but I wish him well wherever it may be.

Good interview, honest and direct about his past year. Clearly still wants to play on: "as hungry as I’ve ever been and I’ve got a point to prove." Hope he gets a gig somewhere. Who knows? Might be that missing piece of the puzzle for the Hawks 4-peat, a shutdown role on Fyfe. Wouldn't that be ironic?

Wish he could get a gig with us.
He said he can play forward so give him a run

Some experience needed at GWS? Crowley's aerobic endurance would be suited to the reduced number of rotations for next season. Perhaps pick 22 plus Crowley for McCarthy?!

Better not get picked up elsewhere and pinch his way around Fyfe.

He was the best in the league - will (no doubt) be even better if given an opportunity. It was just so stupid dropping him from our list.

You can see it happening, can't you: Our game plan is evolving, becoming more attacking, so that we don't need a tagger, whereas for some other teams, they are attacking enough so that having a tagger stop a gun opposition player may be just the trick.

The question I've always had with these delistings (I think we had 7 delistings) is that where do you get the replacements from to fill your list?

Can't re-list him, can we?

Edit - after listening to the interview, doesn't look like there is much hope for a backflip by the Dockers...this sucks...

31, out of contract, and just served a years suspension for drugs.
Really, how shocked and blindsided could he have been.

No surprise to me, but it is sad to see a great servant of the club go out in these circumstances. Unfortunately it's a business and these things happen.

What's the bets on where Crowley will go next year?

Will it be a team having a genuine finals crack and want to sign him for two years to fill a 'missing jigsaw-piece' role? Or will it be a team who aren't finals aspirants but could use an experienced player to work with younger players? Maybe Brisbane will have him because they can't get anyone else.

Or will he stay in Perth, play WAFL and probably get a flag and even a Sandover at Subiaco for a few seasons?

There must be some master plan at play, that the club is confident of pulling off, that I am yet to get my head around.
With the number of delistings that have taken place already and Pav and Mora uncertain, plus the picks we are going to trade for McCarthy/Black/Casboult. I can't seem to work out how we are going to fill our spots, surely not with a bundle of 70+ draft picks in an apparently weak draft.
Given this set of circumstances and the attitude demonstrated by Crowley in the interview, I wonder if the same argument doesn't apply in this case, that the risk reward of Crowley, verses pick 97, comes down in the favour of Creepy. I hope that given the reduced interchange Taggers don't come back into vogue and we regret it.
