seems to be some Chatter on the other Threads about Weller so thought I'd start His own thread.

i) no idea where the homesick talk started but if someone could post a link to any articles it would be greatly appreciated.
ii) He is a jet and by all accounts an accurate kick, which Freo need more of so any trade had better be for someone better than Black
iii) he is apparently the best looking footballer in the land so has Nic Nat like marketing potential which should boost his trade value.
iv) there is some talk that the Saints don't want to part with pick 5 for Carlisle and have flagged the idea of trading their pick 5 for 2 x lower order picks, currently Crows have picks 9 & 13 which they may want to trade with the saints so if the saints used 9 on Carlisle would we trade Weller for pick 13?

Weller is the first Dockers' first round draft pick that actually looks like one since Morabito. He shouldn't be traded under any circumstances, even as part of a deal to get McCarthy.

Don't know where this whole Weller homesick story started from anyway. He is from Tassie so first of all he can't go back there anyway.
Secondly last I heard was that he was really enjoying his footy here, had moved in with Blakely and Langdon and (this will disappoint a lot of young girls!) his girlfriend is moving over here next year.
Kid will be a great player, would already play him in the side instead of D Pearce or Sheridan.
Definitely hold or if he is actually homesick at least hold for another year and his trade value will rise (could be used in Hogan or O'Meara trades!)

compensation for all the victorians we've trained and sent back fully qualified.
