If my calculations are right we've delisted or retired 8 players. This is more than i was expecting,
Some questions.
Have any other clubs cleaned out this many?
We're apparently re rookie listing Deluca. I know he was injured towards the end of the year but has he actually done much at Peel to justify this?
Isn't this supposed to be a shallow draft? If so then why delist so many if there's little to pick up.
Bennell, McCarthy and Black. How many picks do you reckon it will take to get all three, considering nobody wants or often doesn't use the high numbered picks. Surely some trades in there as well?

We must be making way for a few trades also do not think Pavlich is going now with so many being let go.
I think we will trade in 4 players and the others will come through the draft, who will they be?

We have now lost 6 from our main list and now 3 from our rookie list, we are required to pick up at least 3 on our main list in the draft so have 3 of each to play with, bennell will fill on of those spots so we can pick up another two from trade or free agency, I for one would like us to pick up Grimley who was delisted by the hawks but could offer a mature (24yo) option for our forward line if Pav retires or needs to be managed, also there has been speculation about the other Mitch Brown who's also been playing well in the VFL, it does seem to suggest that Pav is looking like going around again and that there is space for Mora on our list, even if he's delisted and re-rookie listed. Which makes me happy.

The cull continues with Tom Vandeleur ( rookie listed player), the latest axing. Spend to years on the rookie list without playing a game. That's now a total of 9 players delisted or retired. There's a few arrivals on their way.

So we have 7 picks in this draft, and with so many spots available on the main list now can we afford to trade more than 1 pick for any players?
Im not 100% on how the main list requirements work but if Pav does decide to retire it leaves us with quite the large number of vacancies on our main list.

Ballard named in the WAFL team of the year following on from his Peel award. Strange to delist him.
On another note why don't we draft more mature age players from the WAFL, specifically Tropiano the Perth player who won the Sandowver and could we look again at Menegola.... or too many midfielders? Last Sandover medallist we took has done alright.
