I know we like to romanticise what our club stands for, but this isn't a suburban club of amateurs volunteering their time; FFC is a business, with a plan for future success that evidently doesn't include Crowley any longer.
Offering him an extra year's pay for no other reason than rewarding his loyalty would be a waste of wages and a roster spot. The club owes him nothing but gratitude now, he's been paid handsomely for his years of service.
