Bye to Duffman and Crowls

Fremantle Dockers Life Member Paul Duffield is set to retire from the AFL after 171 games for the club.
...
2012 Doig Medallist Ryan Crowley has been delisted and will also depart the club after 188 games.
...
Fremantle have also delisted senior listed players Max Duffy and Josh Deluca along with rookie listed players Jacob Ballard and Craig Moller.

Has Crowls actually retired, or has he been delisted and may possibly look to play at another club, as unlikely as it may be? Either way, sad to see his career end this way, all the best to both him and Duff-man...

If Pav hangs up his boots as well, it is a real changing of the guard happening at our club...

Bit surprised about Ballard - Maybe when they didnt appear to want to play him in the Port game it was a sign of things to come. It just shows that WAFL forms means nothing - he has been the most consistent Freo player in the last 2 years by a stretch. All the best in the future.
Duffy a touch unlucky but been on a the list a few years now and hasnt dominated in the WAFL yet.
Deluca a wasted pick - gone after one year. Moller was speculative at best

A big thanks to Creepy and Duffield for all they've given us.

It is pretty rough on Duffy as I've no doubt about his ability, just his body seems to be a bit brittle. That said, these delistings may lead to re-listing as rookies as the draft hullabaloo dies down.

Tough on Ballard, thought he has been pretty good, a bit like Menegola was, good player just could never crack into our main list, hope he gets a go somewhere else.

Just interesting to see that Crowls has been delisted, but have yet to announce that he is going to retire...any chance that the club may re-draft him as a mature-aged rookie? It does appear unlikely though, given how Bondy has worded his delisting (“He left it all out on the ground during his 188 games for Fremantle”)..
