Jooter - damn you for letting facts get in the way of a good story. Research is not my strong point, I'll admit that. Still, I have no doubt the NFL wanted to make as much money out of the ProBowl as the could, hence my argument stands.
According to Wiki, the venue for the SuperBowl is decided by the NFL and the stadium must have a minimum of 70, 000 seats. Usually the newest stadium is chosen. I imagine the stadium is not so important because the TV rights for the game dwarf the gate receipt.
I guess the conditions for a Perth stadium GF will only be ripe when there is a large pay-per view income stream for the GF.
I still think W.A could muster the sponsorship $$ to make up for the 40, 000 less attendees at the 'G. I mean, if the "Giants" cost Perth $5 million and was considered an outstanding success, I think we could justify $10 million for the big dance!
