With all due respect Freo4eva, that is a pretty limited analysis. What about the number of bottom 4 sides, where played and when? Here’s a quick round by round analysis of WC’s year:
Western Bulldogs - 10pt Loss, which turned out to be more meritorious than originally thought.
Carlton - Say no more
Fremantle - Got flogged
Brisbane Lions - Say no more
Greater Western Sydney - GWS were going ok, but never travel that well over here
Port Adelaide - Got Port following an intense Showdown and Port got done by Brisbane the following week.
Gold Coast - Say no more
St Kilda - Say no more
Geelong - Geelong were in a funk at this stage after losing a prime mover Mitch Duncan a week or two before.
North Melbourne - Beaten in Tassie
Essendon - Say no more
Richmond - Got Richmond off a bye and it showed with an error-riddled game from the Tigers.
Melbourne - Say no more (Melbourne 's home game in NT!)
Adelaide - Got the Crows effectively off a bye and especially vulnerable the first week after losing Phil
Collingwood - Magpies were well and truly sliding at this stage.
Sydney - Sydney were also in a big funk at this stage.
Gold Coast - Should of won this easily, drawn game.
Hawthorn - Beaten by the Hawks.
Fremantle - Freo had only limited incentive to win, but jumped us well and truly.
Western Bulldogs - Young team tiring and not that great a travelling record over here
Adelaide - Flogged by the Crows.
St Kilda - Say no more.
