It'll be great to get some fresh eyes into the place. I think after a couple of years being in contention it might be the circuit breaker to get mentally refresh. Lyon having to induct others can be a great way to get him looking at things in a different way too. Growth only comes from discomfort.

As they both have jobs lined up with other clubs - makes you think their roles at these clubs were well and truly stitched up before our last game.
Also any chance Chris Bond could join them? Bar Alex Pearce our recruiting has been abysmal since Phil Smart left.
If Bond cant secure Bennell, McCarthy and Black, with our war chest - after years of failing to attract anyone, then he certainly doesn't have what it takes to remain in such a pivotal role for the club and will be time to move on too.

I thought lloyd was in charge of recruiting? With him gone hopefully a more balanced approach to drafting will occur. There were opportunities for some good wa talent but he seemed to like skinny vic metro/country kids.

Surely someone has to help Bond in the trade period this year, it is too important. Maybe we could give Scwabby a cameo role for a week. This is the time to spend big and trade draft picks for the talent that is available. Scwabby would be in heaven.
