Okay, I know we don't really like him but what do we think about luring Stevie J over here?

He is interested in playing on and apparently there is interest out there. He is also interested in development and coaching roles.

So, seeing as we lack goal kicking options and we are losing coaching staff, plus he was still kicking goals at the end of the season, do you think it could be a sensible option?

Imagine how much he and Ballas together could pi55 off the opposition.

I would absolutely give him a year or two. Geelong are being forced to cull guys a bit early to fit Dangerfield in and Johnson would get us 30 plus goals easy.

He wouldn't come here though.

I'll take the crazy bit Jason, but as for Freo hater, he hates whichever team he is playing on the day. He may hate us a little more but he hasn't been too discriminating with his hating.

Johnson was a crab all year. His 'mercurial' ways are now just him repeatedly turning the footy over and giving free kicks away. He struggles and would do nothing to add to our side. We already have Ballas and Son Son up forward so we have the smalls covered anyway.

Then you have all his off field issues and his problems with Freo. There's no way it would work and it is a crazy suggestion.

I think the freo forward line could definitely benefit from a bloke who is better than a 50-50 proposition in contested marking situations. Even better, get a forward who doesn't turn uncontested marks in attack into contested marks/spoils for the defender.

I like Stevie J, one of my favourites.

But now is not the time to be topping up for a flag in 2016. Now is the time to give youth opportunities. I'd rather have Tabs play 22+ games next year as part of his continuing development with his new team mate McCarthy, than have an old timer play 14 games and retire.
