It was very obvious that the Awful needed at least one interstate team in the GF to bring the cash into Bleak City. The poor Vics would've been broke if it was just Hawks vs Norf next Saturday. Don't underestimate the power of the corporate greed at work here. Airlines, hotels, cafes and every other buck chasing enterprise in, on or around anywhere in bloody Melbourne. The VFL is very much alive and kicking. At least it's the Slime supporters who will be bleeding through the eyeballs this week by propping up their economy.
