As flagged previously, my main concern is over-umpiring. Dalgleigh is a worry on that front.

But I don't mind Rosebury and Stevic. Probably a good result on balance.

Am I missing something about Troy Pannell (no 28)? I know he was part of some pretty atrocious lop-sided free kick counts against us a little while back, but he always strikes me as a fair bit calmer than most of the maggotry, and has a good relationship with the players.

Is there reason I don't get that keeps him out of the sharp end of the season?

I think its a terrible result. Rosebury is adamant to show the Vics he has no bias to WA teams. Dalgleish is def a hater with 11 straight lop sided free kick counts against us and Stevic was part of the free kick fest at Sydney last week.
Its the worst result imaginable IMO

I'm with Morgan's previous views on this, the umpires have a very objective, balanced and rationale approach to adjudicating our games........we've nothing to worry about.

There's nothing even remotely balanced about Matt Stevic - in fact, the Western Australian Dictionary of the Extraordinarily Obvious offers up the following definition:

The only possible thing that could work in our favour is Dalgliesh being tipped off by the slime that they don't want to face the hawks at the MCG. Otherwise we will be staring down the barrel of another 20 - 7 free kick count at half time with the three retards completely unable to see Hawthorn infringing yet spotting every one of out discretions from 200 metres out.

Stevic is, IMHO, the second most anti-Freo Ump around, after Leigh Fisher. I first noticed him in 2011, end of season home defeat by Carlton. Appalling. Just appalling. He's done nothing since to dispel my notions of bias. Indeed, he has only repeatedly confirmed them.

I have a general rule not to bet on Freo games due to my emotional involvement.
After reading the appointed umpires, I have emptied my betting account by placing the balance on Hawthorn. (Their odds are dropping for a good reason. Bet responsibly)

In 2014 and 2015 (excluding the 2015 R23 B-Team loss to PA), Freo have lost 12 matches, one or more of Dalgleish, Rosebury & Stevic have umpired in ALL of those losses (they have umpired 26 Freo games).
In games NOT including any of those umpires, Freo have won 20 out of 20 games.

Freo have won the Free Kicks in 5 of those 26 matches umpired by one or more of those 3 umpires. The combined Free Kick tally of those games is: 402 Frees For vs 492 Frees Against. (in others games 352 vs 373)

And it's not just the Free Kick statistics, I have consistently seen those 3 umpires miss obvious Free Kicks for Fremantle.

Please Boo every bad decision we get ... it'll likely be your last chance in 2015, so let them know.
