Hawthorn are the original flat track bullies. Adelaide has already played its Grand Final and is travelling for the 3rd week in a row. If they get within 5 goals of Hawthorn, they'll be doing well.

I'd be preparing for the Hawks to be coming over angry. We need to bring the manic pressure of 2013 to be able to match it with them.

I think it's about time we start pumping Freo up without giving the opposition a reason why they would win. Let's put everything in perspective. They lost to the Slime without Priddis. They're coming back to Perth in a space of 3 weeks. They're players will be banged up and they're playing the minor premiers who has lost only 2 games on their home turf. The Slime whom we've beaten and Rich who has beaten the Hawks at the MCG. The best part is, our players are as fresh as daisies. So tell me again why we're going to be the underdogs.

I think Freo can win, but I don't think it's a given. Their losses at home have come from the opposition getting the jump on them in the 1st quarter. Freo have not been able to come back from more than a couple of goals down all year. They can't afford to let Hawthorn get 4 or even 3 goals ahead at quarter time.

Underestimate Hawthorn at your peril. They are not a dour side like Sydney who grind away. They are a highly skilled, efficient team who can score very quickly. They smashed the Slime in the clearances but turned it over when kicking it forward and got hurt on the rebound. They won the 1st quarter narrowly but succumbed to scoreboard pressure after being punched in the mouth in the 2nd quarter. They'll make sure this won't happen again.

Being rested may help in the 4th quarter but not if you're 30 points down.
