as Roly would say, we can only deal with what is in front of us, and as much as I would have loved to see the Weevils go out in straight sets, this works the draw in our favour.

if the Hawks had won, it would have been likely we would have faced the Weevils at our home prelim, totally nullifying the home ground advantage/travel thing. As it is, we're likely to face a travel weary Hawks.

and, heaven forbid there's an upset tomorrow and the Swans win, we won't have to travel for the prelim and get to face the Weevils here at home.

not the result most were hoping for, but itsa not so bad

Trouble is the budgies would be barracking for Sydney tomorrow. They wouldn't care about losing the home ground advantage. They'll be rested in two weeks time. Freo MUST win tomorrow. Over to you Roly. No pressure.

Tonight's result doesn't change anything. Freo always had to win tomorrow. There's some past and future tense headbuggery for you.

Roly will just ask his troops to take the opportunity that presents itself.

They're going to have to play like WC, but with only 18 players.

If we win tomorrow some of our blokes would have had so many weeks off lately off they'll think the season has ended.

Exactly, Drubbing.

Freo have always had to have had a win against Sydney, having had to have the week off to have Fyfe have another rest.

My concern is can we trust other teams to get the job done. We made the mistake in 2006 of leaving it up to Sydney and they let the country down. We have no choice but to lose today and march on Subiaco in a fortnight to end the Eagles season.

If not us, then who?

All I can say is that WC have played to the exact plan that Freo scripted.
The rest will take care of itself.

The scene is set, our team is complete. Only a wide eyed, shell shocked Sydney and a played beyond their own expectations WC team stand in our way.

We’re the rollers
We’re the rockers We’re the mighty Freo Dockers
We’re gonna roll ‘em and we’ll rock ‘em

Did anyone think, pragmatically speaking that the deliberate out of bounds decision paid against Langford in the 1st was a response to crowd presure and that it bordered on farcical?

Pragmatically speaking could we make a pragmatic request for some unbiased pragmatic umpiring and that frees be paid pragmatically to both sides. Is that reasonable?
