For those of you advocating for Tendai to be in the team, who do you propose we leave out? As much as I love 'Gu, I'm struggling to see who he should replace on the team...

As for Tabs and Zac C, if the weather continues to be wet, reckon we'll see a late change on Saturday, who could very well be Tendai in the end..

Thought we might have had A Pearce in to tackle Reid.

Would 14 changes be an all time record? How many was after that St Kilda or Tassie game?

Feels like a risk to go in with three blokes coming off injuries (Fyfe, Ballas and Sutcliffe), plus the semi-performing talls of Clarke and Tabs....i'm sure they know what they're doing though *pause for breath*

Noddy, on what basis has Mayne had a bad year? Let's compare him to Walters and Pav. Mayne has more effective disposals a game than both, more than double the tackles (and leads the team), and kicks 1.3 goals a game (Sonny is at 1.9 and Pav is at 2).

That's a very good result form a very good player. He plays his role as well as anyone in the team, but hasn't hit the scoreboard as much as we would all like. But bad season?

As for the selection, I'm surprised to see both Hendrix and Tabs in the team given the forecast.

Tabs and Clarke sure are surprises, but if there was ever incentive to play a burster this would be it, lets hope they deliver.

As for Mzungu I'm actually quite gutted, I'll never forget that he kicked the clubs first Grand Final goal when everyone else was running around like a chook with its head cut off.

Aside from that I'd say this is one of the stronger sides that we've fielded in a while, and with Ballas and Fyfe coming off of a few weeks rest I can only imagine how eager they are... Carn Freo!!!

I've had a look at the changes to the announced teams vs what AFL.com says were their best matches for the year.

Freo (change from Rd 4 win vs Sydney)
In: Ballantyne, Dawson, Sheridan
Out: C. Pearce, Mzungu, Duffield

Sydney (change from Rd 18 win vs Adelaide):
In: Goodes, Lloyd, Towers, Heeney, Z Jones
Out: Franklin, Parker, K Jack, Smith, Nankervis

Freo team is arguably stronger - particularly through the inclusion of Ballaz, while Sydney is considerably weaker.

We should smash them!

Hannath's days must be numbered if he can't get a gig before Clarke who, as everybody agrees (probably including himself) was woeful last week.
Mayne one of those guys who could be the player of the finals. Get on him.

Swans have brought in Mc Glynn who has not played an AFL game since Rd 9
That reeks of battered stocks and could make up for maybe an underdone Ballas.
Nothing could make up for Clarke however. We cannot win a grand final without every last man contributing 110%
I hope Roly reads him the riot act on second and third efforts and what knees are for (that's getting down and putting the head over the ball in case Sam Mitchell is listening in)

With Clarke keeping his spot. I had a thought about his shocking game last week did the boss tell him keep fit and don't get injured and your in next week knowing full well griffo was already ruled out. Just a thought.

I would think, and hope, that Clarke will take this opportunity and play an absolute blinder knowing full well that when Griff is well then he's straight back in.

ZC had a shocker last week, poor effort sloppy skills. Must have been under instructions, as getting a game on the back of that, with the options coming in, is unfathomable.
