The NM game was a bad loss after such a promising start.
Something went horribly wrong after qtr time.
The boys turned over the footy too easily. Our forward structure fell apart in the final stages of the game when a mark and goal was required.
Freo has been on top of the ladder all year and games clear of the rest for most of the h & a season.
It's very disappointing to not run out games and head to the finals with momentum.
No we are not useless.

These games are like the 5th test in a lost ashes series. There is only one purpose to Rounds 1-23, to make the top 2 and get the second chance. We did it. We've won this leg of the competition.

We're just killing time until the first home final.

I'm so hoping that's right Shane but can you just turn on a magic wand and come finals time everything clicks into place?
We looked pretty desperate to win out there today and last week in the last quarters but couldn't do it.
Some here were questioning why we weren't starting as favourites today. Can you see and do we deserve to start favourites against Port in a couple of weeks? I doubt it and they can't even make the finals.
I so want us to turn things around but am worried that we are running out of time to get our skill level and confidence back.

If we lose both of the last 2 games, we fall to 3rd and play the Hawks at the MCG. On our current form, I'm pretty sure that would be one way traffic and the first leg of another straight sets exit

I agree that all we are after is a top two finish and that in reality we don't want to injure ourselves or get ourselves into a ridiculous position that we could miss our second Brownlow because of some stupid decision but, today's errors were not from lack of effort they were from brain snaps
Walters laying on the ground after a great mark tries to handball to a player running past while the roo was still on top of him, misses the target and gives up a goal. Mayne, mr reliable, takes a great mark out in front 30meters from goal directly in front and shanks it. If I was an opposition coach I would be stoked if Fyfe went to full forward cause you know he's gonna miss most of his set shots and it takes him out of the Middle.
I'm just pissed cause I have already started taking verbal beatings from slime supporters and then you watch them today and they beat the 4th or 5th placed team by nearly 10 goals.
I just want the Freo that thumped Sydney in 2013 to show up and make a statement, and by Christ they had better do it on the first weekend in October

All respect folks but we are not taking the field players who have proven they are good enough to play AFL football are. Pretty sure they are not sipping on champaign and having a giggle while flying back home to jolly Perth. We are still bringing up the loss to Richmond for christ sake. The only team we have not beaten this year is Hawthorn and chances are we will play them on our ground where we have a good record against them. Including knocking them out of a finals series. And yes standards do rise for finals it's where the teams that really deserve to be there are found out.
