There are honestly so many more important things for me, all of us, to be downright angry about, but i just have to thank Chris and his coterie of sycophantic win-at-all-cost minders as well as the AFL tribunal for cheapening the whole experience of something I'm sure I used to enjoy even when we were getting flogged week in week out. I just feel as though I've been complicit in something sordid.
The only principled positions on show here tonight were a contrite Silvagni accepting he had wronged and Suban standing up for something so ethically abhorrent and unsporting that it received global condemnation when Suarez bit his opponent at the last FIFA World Cup.
Clearly the only reason the Eagles went so intensely to defend Masten was because they knew themselves it was a dog act, that he would be forever labeled as a biter. Six weeks was a no-brainer.
How many weeks would Jeffrey have been dished out?
And, a serious implication really is the transferral of hepatitis or worse? The bloke just had to go for a serious amount of time to make a stand. Very weak.

I am really struggling to come to grips with this. Masten is accused of biting. His defence is that Suban wrapped his arm around him and virtually forced him to bite. As a character witness Masten calls on Worstsfold. The man who lead a team of drug addicts but didn't do anything because they were winning. I am missing something here? To me it seems like the same old West Coast culture. Win at any cost.
Silvagni, on the other hand puts his hand up and says "I did wrong" I accept the charge and the punishment.
I know who I have more respect for.

Masten, the inked up pig dog (credit to Hypen), was found guilty of biting.
Once he was found guilty of biting, all character references should become null and void, especially given many of those character witnesses were wrongly claiming Masten would not bite. He did bite, and was found guilty of doing it.

The tribunal's job then is to determine a reasonable penalty for the given guilty charge of biting.
In this case, we have a tribunal deciding that 2 weeks (including a no guilty plea) is sufficient.

The media and the industry were very clear that biting just was not acceptable and a strong message needs to be sent. 6 weeks was the general consensus.

This is so wrong. The tribunal needs to be made accountable for this.

I fail to see why the penalties weren't reversed. The MRP could give numerous government in our region some lessons in how to flaunt your innate corruption.

Mistake 1 All well and good Worstfold you imbecile, you are in the wrong courtroom, he was accused of biting, not fighting or wrestling.
Mistake 2 See an earlier post, he was charged, found guilty by the courts and fined for assault , then suspended by his club a couple of years ago.
Credible character reference? I think not, but does that get shot down by our sycophantic media? NO What a pack of ************ toads.
