Biting is such an embarrassing low act that Masten's camp have done everything to avoid responsibility, by using basic propaganda of deflecting the blame. The Slime have such a long history now of lying and denial that it's the only way they know when confronted by an embarrassing issue. Their fans now have a sense of entitlement and adopt similar positions as their club they support, and they get away with it, because they are backed by an AFL affiliated media channel (that has just signed a $2.5 billion deal with the AFL. That Dave Hughes skit would never get aired on Channel 7).
At the tribunal, when Masten was asked if he bit Suban he says absolutely not, then immediately follows that with he closed his mouth on Suban's arm but claims the action was either instinctive or involuntary. Only The Slime camp can interpret that as something other than biting somebody. Everybody else reads that and says ... so you bit him.
If it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck, walks like a duck, then just because certain people tell you its an outstanding eagle of the highest order does not change the fact that it is a duck.
