It's time for coach, captain and club to forget the 'it's just another game, another four points' mantra and get with the rest of the the people in this stage whom beg to differ.

0ne of the few satisfactions I've experienced as a Fremantle supporter is our recent record against the slime. In short we f%^*ing hate those c@$ts and every one of their dickhead supporters.

I for one would like it to matter to the coach, captain and club. I would like them to at the very least admit it and appear disappointed after a loss. Otherwise I might lose interest altogether. I mean why bother if they don't give a toss?

We did win the six previous games, your team can't win every week. How you react to this fact is what matters most.

Have you tried Cognitive Barlow Therapy in these instances it works a treat with me? What you do is write each negative event down and then ascribe blame for that event to one person.

I don't think it's wrong to be bummed after a loss or too much to ask fir the club to admit disappointment either. The 'just another game' mantra is a lie and it has worn thin.

Cheers though will give the therapy a go.

My team should win. Every week. And look bloody good in doing it. And scare the pants of anyone looking to challenge that record.

I don't ever recall a team on top of the ladder at this stage of the season that so many teams give themselves more than a half-realistic chance of beating. This comes from simply thinking that a process and method will get you there. You need to add some passion. Some spark of inspiration. The supporters get it from Fyfe, Hill and Walters. All we get from Ross Lyon is ho-hum.

You reckon if we ever win this thing with him at the helm, we'll get a public reaction any more significant than "yeah, it's nice isn't it...so now we look forward to regrouping as a unit and working on pre-season with a view to starting next season and building on our current position"?

I know what you are saying but honestly, I'd rather Ross not carry on like Alistair Clarkson and play the straight bat with jokers like Hagdorn. He may look like he's wanting Karen Carpenter songs but inside I he's playing the Doors LA woman.

It's the players that I want to fire up, not the coach to the media. 3/4 time against the Saints game I think it was he was staring everyone down and reading the riot act.

I'll get slammed for it, but Tabs needs to be back in the side. At least he leads away from Pav, not crowding him. Pav works well when he's one on one, not 2 on one and a third purple jersey spoiling the ball. Forward line is a bit of a mess, and delivery into the forwards is terrible. Mundy, Neale and D Pearce were constantly high kicking to a pack. Slime were consistently one on one, leading away and had decent delivery.

Also it seemed that Fyfe told no one he's going to kick more than 30m in this game.

I reckon No One was playing for Freo. They kicked it to him a lot.

And, given the choice, I'd rather have Clarkson in any situation. Except maybe a crazy eyes competition.

That was a point I made several times earlier in the season Lavo, opposition must rate Tabs coz he seems to take opponents away from Pav, and our forward line works better with him in there.

Except it has nothing to do with Tabs and everything to do with the number of players RL has sent behind the footy. He starts extra players behind and when things go badly he sends more into defense meaning we have 2/3 players up forward (often a slow ruckman who can't lead and gets double or triple teamed) who are no chance to win possession unless they make a fantastic lead and we land a perfect pass.

There's no forward structure at that point which means our half backs look up and kick to nothing or they hold it up and wait for someone to get forward which means the opposition have time to set up ahead of the ball. At that point it's incredibly hard to score at all. Tabs would make no difference what so ever.

@Bizkit Well then it does have something to do with Tabs if Lyon is loading up the defence, as he does have a bit of pace and can lead. If Lyon leaves 2/3 down there, you still need someone to lead out further (and away from Pav) to draw out what defence is there. If Sandi is left there, you know he won't leave the square and you can chop his arms all day long and no get pinged for it ;)

What's not mentioned is how much those frees hurt with the current game plan (whether they are warranted or not is moot). Freo always get caught on the hop, as the mids have bolted off forward leaving their opponents, then the ball goes back and quickly moved on (or advantage paid). I reckon at least 5 goals yesterday were due to a free given that was against the run of play, and a few of them were given advantage. When more than half your team has already gone forward, you'll get split open every time. Case in point, watch the first quarter again and compare that to the Richmond first quarter. Both were heavy on frees against the run of play. Still, if we can't kick the easy goals, the above won't matter anyway....
