i) Seems like there is a specific game plan that works consistently against us, albeit by teams which possesses quality kickers...unfortunately, those are also the teams who we will meet in September at some stage, so unless we can figure a way around it, we are stuffed...I'm worried, bloody worried...
ii) I usually have a shaved head, but I decided to let my hair grow in order to shave it into a mo-hawk and die it purple and white on prelim and GF day, should the Dockers make it...for the first time yesterday, I'm questioning whether all this hair-growing will be in vain...
iii) I will refrain from ever commenting about what our best 22 is, because clearly, I don't know jack..
iv) Josh Hill as Ross Glendenning medalist?????? I mean, seriously??????????????

Oh don't you worry, rogerrocks, I intend to...my wife have never seen me with so much hair and isn't exactly a fan of my plans, especially since my 4-year old daughter would get ideas about getting purple hair, but hey, a man has to do what a man has got to do..:)

That when the opposition team field their weakest side of the year and then get three injuries during the game that....

i. You're side is not travelling as well as you thought they were.
ii. The opposition are actually better than you gave them credit for.
iii. Your team was outcoached.
iv. A combination of the above.

i) I wished Roly had have given more effort/priority to the derby.
ii) I wished McPharlin had have played (Roly said he would have if it was the first week of the finals).
iii) I want to see Fyfe (with Sandi) start in the Centre at that first bounce down.
iv) I want to see A. Pearce start in defence.
v) I hope I'm worrying about nothing and we still manage to win 2 of our last 3 to stay in the Top2.
vi) Eagles, their supporters, Dalgleish and Matthew Lloyd suck.
vii) Matthew Lloyd bags Freo every chance he gets. His latest on Footy Classified regarding The Slime "They are the second best team." (not yet according to the bookies ML). He then went on to say Freo down by 7 goals can't come back from that like Hawthorn and the Western Bulldogs can. Again, I've checked the stats and they don't support what ML says. Freo have won more games (in 2015) from behind at quarter time than both of those two put together.

i. That was plain embarrassing, getting blown away by a second rate Eagles side, shows we have enormous problems. We should have flogged them, there is no excuse for a performance like that.
ii. Our skill level was deplorable. The inability to hit targets by foot, or handballing to a team mate under greater pressure were the only constants in the game, oh that and the puzzling decisions by the umpires.
iii. Danyle Pearce is a downhill skier. He does not perform when the pressure is on and his disposal is terrible. Drop him and teach him a lesson.
iv. It appears the St Kilda game was just wall papering over the cracks.
v. If we had won this derby we could have rested players vs the Kangaroos or even started planning for a second string side to play Port in the final round. Now we cant afford that luxury.
vi. This weekend vs the Kangaroos is our line in the sand game.
vii. Yes we are still top of the ladder but that will count for nothing come finals time if we continue to play as poorly as we have done since the first Richmond game.

We have no depth. If Freo had the same amount of injuries the Slime have had all season, we would be sitting about 6th or 7th, if we were lucky.
I dislike the Slime so much more than I did yesterday... and that goes for every day.
Maybe their coach is actually quite good.
We need a plan B - desperately.
We missed Duffman's kicking-in.
Love the Gu but he had a shocker... so did D Pearce.
Still a bit confused why Barlow got subbed... he wasn't the worst and has more ability and liklihood to turn his game around than many others, unless he was injured...
I shall be shouting so loud for the Doggies this weekend. I don't give a **** about who plays who in the finals, as long as the Slime get pummelled by someone, obviously we can't do it.

I learnt:
i) I need at least two days before the anger begins to subside after a loss like that.
ii) I just dislike the Eagles and mainly because they are soft as butter.
iii) I really, really hate Slime supporters.
iv) Having an Eagle fan sitting a few seats away all season has spoilt going to the footy. Being a dick who is just there to wind everyone up sums up their supporter base. Scum.
v) We don’t have enough consistent performers and I’m not sure that will improve in the short term. Fyfe, Mundy, Hill and a few others can only shoulder so much, week in week out.
vi) The free kick count will continue to go against us most weeks while we rely on manic pressure to overcome our deficiencies. Without manic pressure the top sides will expose us.
vii) We need a fully functioning McPharlin and Ballas back in the side to make a serious tilt at the title.
viii) Freo’s Hill is the best of the bunch by a country mile.
ix) I really, really want the Slime at the big dance in October.

Troll,
"vi) The free kick count will continue to go against us most weeks while we rely on manic pressure to overcome our deficiencies. Without manic pressure the top sides will expose us."

... that is a common argument presented for the Free Kick bias against Freo ... but you will find in the opening few rounds, when Freo's pressure looked it's best, the Free Kicks generally went Freo's way.

The Free Kicks, for two years now, have suddenly gone strongly against Freo, after Rounds 6 or 7 when Freo are appearing a genuine Premiership threat. The Free Kick statistics correlate to this theory strongly. Likewise, the Free Kicks statistics to Hawthorn went up around the same time, which goes against any argument of pressure acts brings Frees Against (given Hawthorn have ramped up their pressure acts in the past couple of months and also got an increase in Frees For - Against).

And Hawthorn play a much more unsociable style of footy. Acts like that of Mitchell on Fyfe would draw a free kick 50 meters and immediate report if committed by a Freo player. Saying it is the way Freo play that draws frees against them is bull$hit as other teams doing the same thing have a good frees for/against ratio. Channel 7 may have a much bigger influence on the AwFL than many people realise or accept. Along with corporate bookies, whose advertising dollars must make the AwFL xmas fund very lucrative their is a massive conflict of interest.

Hey who can argue against statistics?
I think you have to differentiate between unsociable and high pressure footy with the manic stuff we play. Don’t get me wrong, I love the way we play and I think we go hard but fair most of the time but the fact remains (IMO) that we will continue to have free kicks go against us because of it. I don’t think any team plays the same type of pressure game we do, so to say other teams applying pressure don’t get the same treatment is not apples for apples.
If the umpires are actually biased against Freo we are simply playing into their hands. I’m convinced there are a few who actively penalise Freo and probably get a kick from sticking it up a hostile crowd but we lead with our chin. I don’t have any answers because I think it is the only way we can be successful with the team we have.
