So by Fyfe's own admission, Mitchell's intentional kneeing has caused the Brownlow favourite to be unfit for at least 5 games. Add to that the time Taylor Walker was off the ground and injured ... and yet Mitchell remains in Brownlow contention as one of the top10 fancies.

In 2014, Fyfe got suspended a total of 4 matches for what, an accidental head clash and a soft Lewis touch up which caused those opposing players to miss a few minutes on the ground.

Yep, another great example of the MRP bringing justice and fairness to the AFL.

I have learned that many posters on this thread are super negative and need to stay away from the guys who actually have put the team I love in a position to win its first minor premiership in history. Those same players have positioned us for a double home final chance as we cant finish lower than second on the ladder.
We have only lost three games to date in a season of football and I really dont give a rats arse how we win ugly, pretty, a hundred points or one point as long as we win. We have the team to get the job done. There are no miracle forwards waiting in the wings so we will have to use what we have.

Freo still needs to win two of their last three to guarantee a Top2 position.
If Freo wins only one of the last three games, then they need Hawthorn or West Coast to lose one of their remaining games for Freo to stay in the Top2.

Hate to break it to you, bpurple, but if we don't win at least 2 out of our last 3 games, there is a possibility that we could slip down to third, if both the Hawks and Weagles win all their remaining games....just sayin'.....

The loss on the weekend was due to giving the opposition a 6 goal start at quarter time. We matched them for the rest of the game and won the last quarter (but not the match).

Fyfe and Johnson will be much better for the run and McPharlin will be back.

I have growing confidence that we'll beat NM who have won 6 in a row against no-one. Sandi will neutralise Goldstein and no-one from Kangas will touch Fyfe. I have a feeling Nat is going to rack up 40+ and 3 more Brownlow votes. Barlow will also have 30+, the guy just has too much pride to play two bad games in a row.

Following this is Melbourne where younger players like Blakely and Weller will be played and Freo will cruise to a 25 point win.

With top 2 sewn up and job done, for Port Mundy, Hill and Sandi will be rested, Clarke & Griff will ruck, Taberner, Duffy and Ballantyne will play in the forward line and [insert midfielders] here in. No worries.

Yer, and the umpires gave them 10 Free Kicks and us 3 by the time they were 6 goals in front.

People have been conditioned to just ignore the impact of free kicks, but if The Slime had +7 Clearances in the first quarter to get 6 goals up we would all be jumping up and down and saying that was where we lost the game.
