i) Aah, first half blitzkrieg football, oh how I missed you..
ii) Think it bodes well for us when we can kick 15 goals without Sonson scoring a single one..
iii) Speaking of which, hope the MRP has no issues with his accidental head high hit against Sinclair (I think) in that third quarter...I'm not being overly paranoid, am I?
iv) Hill's skill gets mentioned a lot (and rightly so), but his gut running is seriously underrated...
v) Looking forward to absolutely belting the Weagles next week..

I'd just like to give a mention to how much fun it is to listen to those post match pressers from Roly.

Not quite strip off and dance in the living room fun, but not far off. Socks on is still dressed, right?

I. Requesting a seat next to the freo cheer squad makes for a perfectly timed exit from etihad to catch the airport bus and make your 8.30pm flight to perth in time.
II. Im not sure if you saw his chase in the 4th quarter on tv. But lachie weller is seriously quick. Made a huge chase and then followed it up with a 2nd and 3rd attempt. Its the outside speed our team needs. The more he plays in the seniors the better
III Nat Who? Its the mundy hill and Neale show. Glad to see they have stepped up as required
IV. Alex Pearce looked more comfortable in front of goals this week. Is it just me or does he seem to lead better, mark better and produce more ground pressure than tabs? Our Fwd/Def mr fix it.
V. Who goes out for johnno and fyfe next week?

I) Our training load seems to have lightened off, are we tapering to the finals now?
ii) It's only the media who underrate Hill's gutrunning. A couple of Saints players who grabbed him to stop him sprinting 100 mt into our open forward line just before half time obviously know what he is capable of. How did the 3 umpires on the ground not see it?
iii) Seriously, would a 4th umpire stop this stuff?
iv) regards iii) NO
v) Some sides are contenders, some aren't.
The Tigers are dull without their brightest star
Any side is going to seriously miss a player of Brett Deledio's calibre, but Richmond's performance without him – particularly against Adelaide – would have fans quite worried indeed. The Tigers struggled badly in his absence earlier in the season and since round seven he's been number one at Richmond for ground ball gets, clearances and tackles inside forward 50 and second for scoreboard impact and disposals inside forward 50. With Deledio out through illness, Richmond was obliterated by the Crows in a performance that suggested the club would struggle to make any impact in September unless the 28-year-old is fit.

Freo without Fyfe have carried on, in 9 things we learnt www.afl.com.au/news/2015-08-09/nine-thin...earned-from-round-19 media are making " missing star" excuses for more than 1 team already.

After watching the game, and listening to Stan Alves and Roly's presser:
Right now we are better placed than ever to enter the finals.
Sandi is getting angry...taking more marks and should back himself to kick goals, you beauty.
Mundy is a jet, I lost count of the number of times he was in and under feeding the pill out and his use of it is laser like.
Griff has given us a big boost around the ground.
Stan Alves should listen to Roly's presser, he may learn something about modern day AFL.

St Kilda fans rival West coast fans in their stampede for the exits at three-quarter time, and shouts of "baaall"
Freo fans are canny and very loud.

What I learnt from that article Rags is that 2 weeks is definitely a long time in football. "We were workmanlike and that the Hawks have confirmed their Premiership favouritism".
3 weeks ago we were no chance of winning the premiership because of our inability to kick 100 points. In the last 2 weeks the only 2 teams (supposedly) with any chance of winning the premiership have struggled to kick scores.
We are building and I am excited about our chances, all of those “unconvincing” 4 points will leave us in a great position to enter the finals, the really good teams are welcome to their 20-30 percentage points.

I also learnt that kicking the ball low and fast into our forward line and hitting one of our boys on a lead usually is converted into 6points. But I also liked Tendai's mark of the very high ball in the first qtr.
