Zac Dawson, Fremantle, has been charged with striking Jeremy Cameron, GWS Giants, during the first quarter of the Round 18 match between Fremantle and the GWS Giants, played at Domain Stadium on Sunday August 2, 2015.

In summary, he can accept a two-match sanction with an early plea.

Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the GWS Giants Football Club, it was the view of the panel the incident should be classified as careless contact with high impact to the head. The offence was classified as a three-match sanction. The player has no applicable bad record. An early plea reduces the penalty to a two-match sanction.

It was clumsy, could be argued accidental unless he's got eyes in the back of his head and if it was high impact it would have hospitalised him. If we had decent Legal man he'd get it reduced or dismissed.

We can base the whole defence of the charge on the fact that....well...well, that's he's tall and he got disorientated when he spacked into the back of that umpy in the first quarter. Yep, that's a good one - he's tall and he was disorientated after a spack attack.
