I - Taberner has some work to do if he is going to get a forward spot ahead of pearce.. Especially when Johnno is back
II - Zac Dawson was at his spactacular best. Lucky he snotted cameron who probably couldnt see straight to be able to kick straight otherwise would have been well beaten. At least he hit a few targets to foot.
III - Weller is a jet. With the way he kicks the ball into the forward 50 I think and certainly hope we see him on a more regular basis.
Iv - Sandi+Griff is humming along nicely
v - Crozier has some work to do. Possibly lucky peel had a bye, but if Fyfe comes in I think he will be making way from todays efforts.

i. We're a good team that is going through the motions. We've been up for a few years, but watch the focus come late in the season, and hopefully an uptick in our skills.

ii. Sandi is a a monster on a dry day, and his marks around the ground really help our team.

iii. Our ball movement in our backline sucks when Johnno and Duff aren't in the side. Duffman doesn't look like getting a crack soon, so I hope we get Johnno back sooner rather than later. McPharlin is reaching Dawson-like levels of ineptitude with the ball.

iv. Freo's marketing department has too much time on its hands, and seemingly no idea about fans. What was with the 'Freo' sound effect after goals? If anything, it actually stifled fan cheering.

Good point about Duffman, Morgan. He has his detractors but his ball use and ability to hit targets is possibly the best of any of our backmen.

i) Tabs will be looking over his shoulder
ii) DeBoer and Tendai together could be a good thing
iii) stats and disposals tell one story kicking and hand balling tell a different story especially when shooting for goal
iv) only 5 games left in the h&a season after that the 4pts don't count and winning ugly will be a celebrated win
v) A Pearce and L Weller are part of Freo'S future
vi) N Fyfe come back soon

Lets see:
i) If Weller is any indication of the talent we have running around in the WAFL, we need to bring in more like him, sure handling skills and straight at our goals.
ii) We need more pace
iii) Its still tough being purple

i. Danyle Pearce is fast becoming the Ian Baker-Finch of footy.
ii. AA Luke is a liability with ball in hand at present. So is Dawson. As Morgan said, we really need Johnno back.
iii. Sandi doesn't get enough recognition. Some of his tap work yesterday bordered on the ridiculous. If only it translated on the scoreboard.
iv. Weller was exciting. He has the right level of confidence (just a smidge below arrogance) and from what I saw yesterday can comfortably back it up.

i) There can be Aboriginal goal celebrations without brains exploding.
ii) I love the reception our first gamers get from the crowd.
iii) Lachie Weller is fantastic. First Alex, and now Lachie. Things are getting better and better.
iv) Some games are not much fun to watch but if we get the points, I don't really care.
v) Eagles suck. And boo.

There was a player in the warm up early who looked like he wasn't trying very hard - no surprise he muffed an easy shot on goal.

I) Slime will not make the Top 4. Slime people I know think it's just my hatred speaking and they are partly right but more so that they play Hawks, Freo, Crows in Adelaide and Western Bulldogs in the next month and they will lose each one.
ii) ..Richmond probably will which means if the AFL goes early, like today, and announces them playing Round 23 Friday Night Footy they will have extra day recovery over us when we play each other first week.
iii) There seems to be divided opinion over Zac Dawson, but some is verging on bullying. #IstandbehindZac..
iv)....but #onlyifIcanseehiselbows

I was thinking the same thing about Richmond, Drummy — though I'm not convinced that any of the current top 4 will drop enough games to slip out. That's not to say they won't, but at this point I don't see any reason to be confident that it will be WC, rather than Sydney or Hawthorn, that drop a game in which they start as favourites.

Ok does that article look particularly vague and poorly written to anyone else? Apart from naming Richmond/North to play on Friday night, none of the other games have been named, (not including who and where the game are played because we already knew those details).
Are they going to release the details of one game each day this week or something?

And this pearler of a sentence gave me a headache:
"The details for round 23 are not decided until now so the AFL can factor in where teams sit on the ladder"

*edit I re-read that sentence 5 times and it finally made some sense. It all depends on when you pause...
