Thought he actually did quite well in the forward line..so even though he will head back to CHB with the inevitable suspension of Zac D, definitely worth putting him in the forward line again once Johnno comes back..

Would rather have him down back and Taberner forward, at least Tabs kicks a couple of goals a game. Seriuosly though, he didn't offer anything more up forward than MJ, Dawson, Luke and any other backman that has gone forward so to say he is the answer at CHF is taking a very glass half full approach.

I do like to to view things in a glass half full manner..:) but seriously, what is there not to like, especially since it is his first foray in the forward line? Presented well, clean hands, and had he kicked straight or had some penetration in his kicks, would've kicked a reasonable bag of goals..

It's easy to get carried away by this fellow. He's an intelligent footballer, makes good decisions, plays like a veteran and has the attributes of a future leader. His kicking lets him down sometimes, but he's not alone there.

I reckon Alex did more up forward in one game than Tabs has done in all games. I like Tabs, but Alex lead hard, took marks, kept his feet, tackled, and contested constantly. He's a rippa, and Tabs has a benchmark to reach (and be can do it if he believes in himself).

He did a lot more than Tabs has in any of his games so far which was good, just needs to work on his finishing but his presenting, contested work and pressure were great. Doesn't look like he'll get a chance forward in the near future though.

On the one hand, you've got a guy that can mark but can't kick. On the other hand, you've got a guy that can kick but can't mark the ball. I'm not sure what the answer is, but I thought it was stupid to sub him out when The Spack was spacking around in defence.
