When you're top possession getters are your back 6 (including the blokes who roll through half back to set things up) and you never see a midfielder get out of second gear, and everyone is hand passing sideways to themselves.

Tough crowd. We smashed them all over the park: Clearances 47 - 27; inside 50's 56 - 30, and marks inside 50 11 - 3. Yeah we were sloppy in the forward line, and our backline struggles to move the ball in Johnno's absence, but we smashed them in the middle, and that's where games are won and lost.

We're not far away from our best footy.

So what is it you want, exactly? We're top of the ladder by 6 points for the first time in our history. Maybe some of the wins haven't been pretty but isn't that what good teams do? Find a way to win no matter what the conditions, what the circumstances?

Weren't we top of the ladder by 8 points only a few weeks ago?

At any rate, I don't think enough credit is being paid to GWS's pressure at the other end. Sure it doesn't really account for our poor kicking in front of gaol, but down the other end, they locked it indie their forward 50 and often made it very difficult to break the lines.
