TOPIC: Last five rounds

The furthest the Wet Toast travel from their self righteous closeted 'We own the West' world in the last five rounds, yes the last five rounds, is to Adelaide, and of course their last game is in Perth. If anyone tells you the budgies haven't had the season laid out on a plate........tell them they're dreamin.

AFL sending them to GC, home for Hawks, and then us. I'll take those odds.

Peter Bell thinks currently they are the only ones to challenge the Hawks. Currently he is right. Their precision under pressure is only second to the Hawks.

Hawks and eagles haven't had to make many decisions under pressure lately, so I'm not sure about the accuracy of Bell's statement. Both sides made plenty of mistakes when they were under pressure earlier in the year, and I'm sure when finals roll around and pressure goes to a new level he may want to forget that statement.

Our coach said the same thing on the weekend, effort is good but skills are down...it's not rocket surgery Big ears. We've got five rounds to turn that around.

I'll leave the soap to you, you seem to know what your talking about.

That "pressure" comment is a bit of a joke. The last time the Westicles were under any decent pressure was about round 3. Put them under half decent pressure and they'll fold in ways that'll mystify an origami master.

I'll say this ...if Slime lose to Hawks and Freo, which is highly possible, they will be playing the Western Bulldogs over here for what could be a winner take all for 4th spot. Just as few of us would think we struggle with Tigers as bit of a bogey side, I would put forward that the Bullies are a team the Slime struggle with. Justice can still be done.

Go back and watch the 1st quarter of the Richmond game on Saturday. With ball in hand, we butchered 40 points minimum.

Quarter time was 10-10, could easily have been 40-16.
We are building. Don't underestimate us; we were a Juggernaut before, we will be again.

We were a Juggernaut? Haha my friend Juggernauts are unstoppable, we were travelling at a rate of knots at the start of the season and have merely ben slowed by filthy tactics and even filthier umpires, but we maintain our forward momentum. Once we smash through the final few thin layers of pack-ice in front of us, momentum will again build and we will transition from Juggernaut to blinding unstoppable force of nature! July premiers take note and prepare to marvel as we emerge Kraken like to put all opposition to the flamethrower.
This should occur some time early in October 2015 so keep an eye out for a large weird looking octopus monster possibly near Cicerellos.

It's the pointy end of the season. At 14-2, they're all chasing Freo. The so called form slump we're in, still netted us 5 wins from 7. We've been here before, and the same doomsayers last year were saying after our lost to Geelong, where Mundy missed his after the siren goal, that we wouldn't make top 4. Injuries and suspensions are the only thing that will stop us winning the flag, not form in July.

Slime vs Hawks is pretty important for both of them. Hawks will no doubt attempt to injure most important toaster, who at the moment is notacluey, le cras or priddis.

I think its better for us if slime win, but happy for either team to take it, as long as the injury/suspension list is long.

I'm confident we will beat them again in the derby. The eagles have a fantastic forward line but the midfield is still only a bit better than average but made to look better by Naitanui feeding them so easily at the moment. He finds this alot harder against Sandi and we tend to monster them in the middle. Their backline is poor but hasn't really been tested by a decent team recently. I don't want to sell them down too much because they are playing good footy but the draw has been very kind to them.
Just on this, I really don't get this draw equalisation thing. Can any reader tell me if any other sport does it? I would have thought playing each team once and then the remaining games being totally random would be the best way to be fair. This may mean only one derby or blockbuster game a year but I could live with this.
