I typed up notes while watching the game yesterday, with a critical eye to marking down each turnover, error, dropped mark etc, stupid free kicks given way as well as some umpiring errors etc, and very occassionaly I was moved to add something positive about some brilliant piece of play even though that wasn't the purpose of the exercise.
Something that I've never done before, and probably won't do again, and it did get a bit indecipherable in the tense last quarter when I couldn't glance down at the screen and check out my spelling.(eg "SAndlidlands ig makr from mcphalin but ball rebounded, lost possession reiwold marks = goal")
Just wanted to get a bit of a perspective on how things pan out during a game because so much happens, and details are easy to forget. How about that non free kick to Fyfe for in the back that wasn't paid one metre out between the goal and point posts late in the 3rd quarter!!!!
Anyway, without suggesting my notes are definitive as far as I can see the only two players that escaped my wrathful eye are Mundy and Neale. There were a bunch of others mentioned only once, but everyone else was there...right up to the unfortunate fellow up the top of the clanger charts this week.
It does explain a lot about how people see things during a game, and what sticks in their mind when get on Dockerland to vent about a certain player, even if at times they can exaggerate.
