Ballard is a ball magnet and also a rookie list player, so he can't be selected without being upgraded to the senior list. That won't happen as there are about a dozen guys ahead of him in the pecking order trying to play the same position.
One of those guys is Langdon who has been in great form since resuming from injury a fortnight ago. He won't get a game before Weller and Blakely.
Blakely and Weller are ready to play AFL but are not likely to get a debut in an important away game at our last MCG appearance before the finals.
Blakely looks a lot like Mundy but plays as an inside mid and there's no room at that inn at the moment - unless we play either Fyfe or Neale forward, which is unlikely given they're our leading clearance winners.
Weller is an outside mid and has been close to selection in recent weeks (emergency last week in case Mundy didn't come up).
Suban and de Boer are always vulnerable at the selection table but are unlikely to be dropped this week.
Look for Clancee Pearce to be added to the team this week with no other changes likely.
