In addition to his injury, Ballas is pinged $1500 (second offence) for wrestling Dylan Buckley ($1000 fine) in the Second Quarter.
But my reason for writing is:
Other matters assessed:
The match day report against Collingwood’s Jarrod Witts for tripping Matthew Priddis was assessed. After viewing all available vision, it was the view of the panel the force used was below that required to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was taken.
This looked very much to me like the one that Fyfe was pinged (and fined) for early in the season, constituting his first 'strike' in 2015, three of which could see him out of Brownlow contention. Does anyone have footage of the two for comparison so we can see whether there's a double standard at play?
His treatment by the MRP in 2014 and 2015 provides a good argument for being able to appeal MRP decisions at any time during the season, especially when standards get changed.
