Has it been confirmed yet that Sheridan's found whatever evidence Dawson has over RL?
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

I'm convinced more than ever about out with old and in with the new younger players. Few weeks ago, my suggestion that Duff and Gu are players approaching 30, are why they're being replaced by Sutcliffe, Tabener and Crozier this time around. It looks like Sheriden has cemented his place in the 22. Our veterans, Pav, Luke and Sandi are non negotiables. Then it's Mundy and Co. I think, with 8 rounds to go, barring injury, and if Griffin holds his form, the 22 are set. Trouble is with ZD and Johnno, not to far away, it'll be between Suban, Crozier and Tabener who'll make way.

I think we played our A team last week and they flopped in the ice isle so its back to shuffling the board - Clancee will be back and I dont think Crazy Sher and Such can all play in the one side - but against the blues they might look good - maybe. Whatever the weather a pass mark would be 30 points

Geez, I honestly hope we score more than 30 points, Larkin.

Tough on the Gu - needs to play a few consecutive games to get his mojo back...:(

The biggest danger is our zone defence.

The zone absolutely won't work against Hawthorn but will work perfectly against Carlton.

Carlton's kicking skills are akin to Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles playing kick to kick after a night on the pi$$.

They'll happily turn the ball over all night and we'll look a million dollars and everyone will think we've turned the corner. Then we play Richmond and the zone will absolutely not work. Groan.

Lucky we've got a gun coach who will have alternative plans and adapt the style to suit the challenges like we did against the Hawks....oh wait a minute.

Mzungu was named in the best in the Hawks v Freo AFL match report.
His offensive work appeared quite good.
But on quite a few occasions I saw him on replay loitering back to defend.
I've been a big fan of Mzungu, but each time he gets dropped, when you have a closer look at his previous game/s you find he's not doing those defensive pressure acts that Ross values.
Gone to bigfooty where there's fewer Docker Haters.

Mzungu decision very harsh I think, imo offered more than Sheridan, without being too critical of Sheridan who I think will be a very good player for a long time. Would like to see a player who does exactly what is required when dropped back to the 2s rewarded, be good to see if Sheridan has this same character. I am not sure but can't remember Sheridan having the same influence as the Gu.
On the subject of Clarke didn't he kick 3 in his last game at Peel. WAFL goals don't necessarily translate to the next level. Not saying that it is the wrong decision but think that maybe Clarke may be a bit of an escaped goat, he was one of the reasons we were playing well early could be a symptom not a cause.
Just hope we get balance right before Richmond and the Weagles.

Just checked my stats Clarke scored 3 goals in his 2 games whilst Griffen has scored 9 in his 12 games. Clarke took 10 marks in 2 games, think Griff has taken 40ish in 12. Don,t expect Griff to make the difference between winning and losing AFL games, was very good couple of years ago, and deserves a crack especially after re-signing when he could have gone.

Looks like Weller is the player being held over for the emergency spot tonight with Langdon and Clarke playing against Claremont right now.

Brief shower during the warm up and....nah....I shouldn't get too hopeful....

Could all members please bring a towel to dry the ground before the game begins. Could players please bring their long stops. I'm hoping for an 80-0 victory to Freo tonight. I expect the Blues to start at 100 miles per hour and hope they've given up by the 10 minute mark.
