I think people are forgetting all the times Freddy has gone in hard or back with the flight, stood in the hole to mark without knowing if JT, Nev or the Pony was charging into his back.
It's a silly line to say these footballers won't go hard when it's their turn or that they are soft. They are out there putting their bodies on the line every week and will do so repeatedly. However, not every body is made for that physicality and someone has to hold space. Hill was instructed not to go in and under to get the footy like that, to get himself banged up when we had Barlow, Fyfe, Neale and a plethora of others thirsting to get in and under. We need runners on the outside to move the ball.
