If results pan out as expected tomorrow then by the time Freo plays Sydney there is a reasonable chance we will be in 9th place on the ladder. Historically we haven't always performed well when there has been any sort of ladder pressure so this will be a good test to see if the mental fortitude of the team has improved since the end of last season.

With two tough games and the Derby to follow, it's a great opportunity for the team and JL to show where we are at and whether or not I need to be freeing up the schedule in September.

We’re on 10 wins, we need 4 more with our percentage. I think it will be close, as I am still uncertain of the true form line for this team. Our 6 wins have been against pretty lowly teams apart from GWS and GC. Will be really interesting to see if JL can get us over the line.

Pearce back, and two rucks against Brodie are high points. Hopefully our midfield can perform and we kick straight. Sydney have been horrific in front of goal, so I think that will be the deciding factor. Remember that game here last year and how well they kicked and how badly we kicked?
