My favourite of all time too, a champion fella, and a pretty handy player as well. I don't think he ever left anything in the tank, any game he played. An inspiration for all his teammates, and for indigenous players everywhere. Highlights galore, goals, marks, some of the sweetest kicking and handpass skills you could ever see, and all with that smile on his face.

Thanks for the memories Sonny, you and those memories wont be forgotten.

There are few players who you can see the passion for not just their club, not just football but their culture, their family and the people they love written all across their face on the football field. You could see how much each game, each touch, each moment meant to Sunny on the field. He appreciated every one of them and it becomes contagious both to his teammates and us as fans.

He worked so hard to get where he was and become one of the best footballers in the land, he deserved every accolade he won.

It will be sad to no longer see Sonny out on the field but he does leave us in good hands with the likes of Shai bringing scores of people to the football to see his lightening sharp mind match his incredibly talented limbs to create magic on the field. Thank you Sonny for putting on a wonderful show across your career, it's been magnificent to watch play out.
