Tim Kelly is the gift that just keeps on giving. I never wanted to trade for him and always thought he was incredibly overrated but what Freo did in boosting his trade value is one of the craftiest f*&^ you's the AFL has ever seen. It really tanked the OOFTIT's for years, leaving them no quality selections as their list had already jumped the shark and was plummeting towards the bottom of the ladder. They were unable to replace their aging stars with talented kids and Kelly played well enough to keep them mid table for a couple of years and stretch out how long they would go without beginning to draft quality kids.
Now he's being dropped from what might well be the worst team the AFL has seen this century. Quite appropriate after Kelly rubbished Freo when he wanted to come home to WA. The stat showing he'd won more games in 2 years at Geelong than in 5 seasons since at the OOFTIT's is hilarious.
