Exciting Fremantle forward Murphy Reid is set to increase his commitment to living in Perth with his girlfriend and best mate preparing to relocate to WA to join him on his AFL journey.
Reid produced an audacious debut on Saturday when he kicked four goals in six minutes against Geelong at GMHBA Stadium in front of 30 family and friends.
His first goal showed off his confidence with Reid baulking past Gryan Miers on the mark and kicking truly on the run, and then he lit up the game with the type of purple patch that most people only dream of.
Fremantle picked Reid with the 17th pick in last year’s national draft and he had to quickly adjust to moving across the country. But Reid is now so settled that his nearest and dearest are getting ready to move to Perth too.
His girlfriend Charlize will arrive in Perth mid-year, along with a close friend who he played football with at Caulfield Grammer. Reid’s friend will also investigate the chances of playing in the WAFL.
Reid can’t wait to have them with him in Perth.
