Just an observation, quite a few teams had no ruck options and had more fun in the finals than we did.
Maybe the game is changing, I'm looking forward to the new 2025 Thursday night "rucks are now mauls" rule being introduced.

Riddle is not a genuine ruckman at AFL level unless he still has growing to do. He is not a Darcy or Knobel replacement, he's a backup ruckman/3rd forward. Someone who can relieve and compete in the ruck while spending most of his time up forward.

Obviously, the club was caught napping and shot themselves in the foot with Knobel who can feel incredibly let down by the club given what's occurred. There were so many other options that didn't risk Knobel being snapped up and having to move his life to the complete opposite side of the country while ruining the clubs own plans for a ruck succession line.

Still aggrieved with this, but have to let it go, as I said before, it's on the edges. Here's Maxy taking a hang on Jackson just after being drafted in late 2022. I hope this never happens in an AFL game.

I concur with Biz, 200cm is just bigger than Jackson-size and not big enough, here's hoping there's superphosphate in his boots.
