Poor old Son Son needs petrol tickets to & from Mandurah for 2025, unless he can be the sub.

Sloby- mine is quite similar. Think yours can be modified to get better balance across all areas.

My bench is open for change, good sign for competition for spots and coverage for injury.

Think we are a little behind other teams with deliver from half backs

FB: Walker (takes third tall), Pearce, Ryan
HB: Clark Cox Chapman
C: Sharp Brayshaw Johnson (possibly O’Driscoll)
HF: Frederick Tracey Switkowski
FF: Bolton Amiss Jackson
Mid: Darcy Serong Young

Bench: Sturt (mid/tall forward), Aish (defender), Erasmus (mid), Banfield (forward/utility)
Sub: Fyfe?? O’meats

Next in line: Tall forward- Voss, Tall Defender- Draper, Ruck- Reidy, Mid- Brodie, Small forward- Walters/Simpson, Small Defender- Wagner

Jackson the highest paid forward pocket in your teams probably says a little about our real list management.

Looking good

Personally, I think Draper will play, even if starts on bench and back six is:

Clark
Chapman
Cox
Pearse
Ryan
Walker

- Draper has enough leg speed and footy smarts to play on smalls and talls.
- When we played teams with two big key forwards and we had Logue, he’d play on one in a lock down role, Alex on another, and Cox would just swan around taking intercept marks and killing the ball in the air.

For me … can honestly see a scenario when Fyfe isn’t in the 22 or 23 at times next year.

Agree 391, I think Draper is in our starting 22 next year.

Pending fitness issues *Mushroom smacks self in head with chunk of wood-like substance* it is looking quite competitive for spots, isn't it?

We need a big bodied midfielder in the team somewhere. I feel having either Fyfe or O'Meara in the 22 to back up Young is help from the bench, especially if we start losing clearances like happened late in games at the end of the season.

But only one of them: big bodied = slow. Both have one season left, so perhaps this could be Johnson's role in the future if he can bulk up like the other two.

I wonder if Fyfe and O’Meara should be slimmed down a bit to see if losing a bit of the muscle bulk helps them get around the ground a bit easier.

Like most of the posters here I'm getting a lot of pleasure just looking at the names being suggested for our starting 22 (23 with the sub), but I confess to being genuinely puzzled by the automatic inclusion of Walker. He's fast and brave, but in my opinion has always been too error prone and costly. and seems often to have too many deer-in-headlights moments. I'd replace him with Aish, who I really value, and sadly O'Meara with Brody.
Is there no one out there who agrees about Walker?
