It was a brilliant game of footy. I started not caring who won but began swearing at the TV when the Vic umpiring bias became blatant.
And what about boundary umpires. Remember the change in momentum down in Tasie v the Hawks when the out of bounds on the full was not called and they scored from the throw in. In this game the Hawks scored when the ball was clearly over the line. If it had been in favour of Port the commentators would have gone ballistic for the rest of the game, but, as it was in favour of the Hawks "noted" but carry on.
ps To Ken Hinkley, "Bravo!" To the journalist who called for Ken to be the "adult in the room", bullshit.
It's experienced people like Ken who need to let immature boys know that, "If you throw something our way, we're going to throw something back."
I'd love to hear from Hawthorn as to who from their club took Ginnavan aside and told him to pull his head in and grow up.
